Here Are Reasons Why People Move. Some Are Scary

realtyexpertsReal Estate News

Unless you’re a college student or someone who lives with minimal belongings, moving can be a fairly intimidating undertaking. From packing all those boxes to finding a moving company that won’t drop your heirloom grandfather clock down a flight of stairs, it’s daunting to say the least.

But sometimes there are factors beyond your control that are enough to make you say, “That’s it. I’m outta here!”

These residents shared their reasons for packing up and putting down roots in a new place. Check them out and see if you can relate to any of these #WhyImMoving posts.

1. Ah, man’s best friend.

More like man’s worst headache when you live next door to an incessantly barking dog. The only friend it has is its owner.

2. Tough commute

Perhaps this person saw one of those ubiquitous “If you lived here, you’d be home now” ads and felt inspired to put an end to that hour-plus commute. No one would blame her.

3. Mass transit trouble

Looks like this person’s transit strategy just derailed. Eighteen months is an awfully long time to take a detour.

4. Bad neighbors

Some pieces of litter are easier to handle than others. It’s hard not to take this one personally. If you’re the type of person who hosts a lot of guests, this probably isn’t doing much for your curb appeal either.

5. More traffic woes

If this is type of heavy traffic is a regular occurrence, we don’t blame this guy one bit for moving away. Let’s hope he’s got satellite radio or a good book on audio, because he’s going to be there for a while.

6. Raining indoors

A leak can drive just about anyone crazy. Of course, unless this is a rental, making a repair seems inevitable. But still, in the moment, you can’t help but wish you were anywhere else.

7. Better climate

Leaving Ohio for Texas makes a lot of sense if you’re looking for milder weather.

8. No maintenance

If you’re a fastidious housekeeper, finding garbage in the hallway, broken glass, and a less-than-clean swimming pool, makes you wonder where your maintenance fees are going.

9. Too hot

Who doesn’t love a sunny day, but extreme heat can be a little too much of a good thing. If you don’t enjoy warm weather, Phoenix, Arizona probably isn’t for you.

10. Perpetual pest problems

As if this didn’t already make your skin crawl, the thought that this woman put up with a serious pest problem for five years is either a testament to her bravery or a sign that she couldn’t bear the thought of waiting for the cable guy at a new place.
